Koala

Here is one of about a billion little koala sketches I've done in the last several days. How can such a cute little animal give someone such troubles? I have been to dark places with this design. Thought about giving it up altogether. But I'm pretty determined.  It feels like a test.  I need the practice should I be chosen for the REPEAT(ed) contest! Shouldn't I be able to make a surface design out of anything?  I can draw it, abstract it, resize it, shape it, color it, and arrange it in any which way I please.  Hmm ...  and therein lies the devil.  It's in the details.

In any case, I have spent too much time holding on to my original vision.  Over the weekend I perused the new Liberty of London releases on True Up.  Now I am so re-inspired!  Back to the drawing board ...
